I earned my master's degree in 2013 from Spring Arbor University's Master of Arts in Counseling program and I currently have my full license (LPC) and National Certified Counselor credentials (NCC). I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, with a minor in Communication, from Ferris State University. The majority of my professional counseling career has been through public mental health agencies, working in a variety of different roles over the years, while serving a broad range of clients with a variety of psychological and behavioral issues. From these experiences, I feel I have grown significantly as a mental health professional and I have also become even more passionate about providing mental health services for adults, children, infants, and families.

Over the years, I have been trained in a variety of evidenced-based therapy practices that I utilize when appropriate with my clients, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Infant Mental Health (IMH), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Nurturing Parenting Program (NPP), Parent Management Training of Oregon (PMTO Informed), and Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT Informed). However, I consider my practice to be more of an integrative approach, which allows me to collaborate with my clients ensuring we tailor treatment to meet their individual needs. I am a radically genuine therapist, meaning that I believe in a strong alliance between myself and my clients and that we are equals in our therapeutic relationship. My goal is to always provide my clients with a safe and nonjudgemental environment as we collaborate and work towards achieving their overall wellness goals. I do my best to provide psychoeducation for all of my clients in order to explore the most appropriate treatment options, in addition to helping my clients develop the skills they desire to achieve positive change in their lives.

I look forward to meeting you and learning together about how we can best help you to achieve your overall wellness goals.
