Foremost, I believe that you are the expert of your own life and that mental health is a human right. With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, life as we had known unexpectedly changed. I want to do what I can do – what I am trained to do and what I am good at – to help support you during these extraordinary times. My practice is rooted in the knowledge that trust is essential to a successful client-provider relationship. In order to nurture this trust, I put in the work to create a safe atmosphere filled with respect, openness, empowerment, and compassion. I truly enjoy partnering with people and working together towards growth and the reaching of higher levels of insight, confidence, and contentment in their daily lives. I want to work with you, for you.

Through listening, support, encouragement, psychoeducation, and researched and verified therapeutic techniques, we can work together to help develop and enrich insight and learn to notice and observe your thoughts, emotional experiences, physical/body sensations, and behaviors to make changes and readjust your life in order to better manage mood, anxiety, trauma responses, interpersonal relationships, self-concept, and to widen your autonomic window of tolerance and ability to return to autonomic safety.

I earned my Master’s Degree in Clinical Health Psychology from the University of Michigan - Dearborn in 2013 and since have become a Limited License Psychologist. My training provided me a holistic perspective to health and wellness, and I celebrate the individuality of each of my clients while recognizing we are all situated within our bodies, our environment, and any number of social structures and institutions. As a part of the LGBTQIA+ community, a supporter of our racial justice movement, and a proponent of health at every size, you are welcome and safe to discuss fear, concern, and experiences of discrimination, and share support in solidarity with me. I look forward to meeting you and learning together.
